“During my working career there have been a lot of great projects. From large projects; developing completely new engine platform with new generation control systems to smaller control functionality and hardware development projects. What makes a project great is of course when it succeeds and meets or even exceeds the expectations, but more important is the team effort and contribution to solve a joint challenge.”
Thomas foresees in the winds of the future that we will see more research and development of gas, energy storage and hybrid solutions, renewables, autonomous functions, controls and operation, model-based AI and machine learning based adaptive control functions, efficiency optimisations of existing applications. The development will take things to new areas, in greater extent and in wider scopes. These areas of development will of course lead to new requirements and development in other areas such as e.g. connectivity, communication, data collection and real-time data etc.
“I haven’t done anything really extreme lately, I ran best Arnon time in Tampere half marathon 2018. But I’m not really a runner – no marathon, ultras or Ironman planned. One thing many don’t know about me is that I slay monsters on my spare time! I was introduced to massive multiplayer online gaming by my wife (one of her many academic researches projects) ~15 years ago. We still enjoy meeting up with friends all over the world, talking, enjoying a whiskey and killing monsters together when we have the time.”
Arnon is a company with clear aim & goals for the future. To get the chance to be part of it and affect the change, development and shaping of Arnon as a company, is one of the great things about Thomas work.
“Together we strive to get better and reach the top.”
