One of our clients faced exactly this challenge, and their solution was to deploy the Arnon E-House – a versatile, mobile electrical power unit designed for tough, off-grid environments.
The project took place in an abandoned excavation site that had filled with water, creating significant dewatering challenges. First steps in the process were connecting a 10 kV power grid, securing access to the area, and establishing a site office. Now, dewatering the mine is about to start and the whole process will take about a year.
Before being safely returned to the local ecosystem, the water must be cleaned and treated. Such a process requires reliable and adaptable power distribution, and the Arnon E-House provides just that.
– We are able to design an e-house for any conditions, whether it involves varying weather or challenging terrain. The advantage offered by Arnon is that we manage the entire project from start to finish, including the switchgears, transformers and the container itself, says general manager Saku Kivistö from Arnon.
The basic structure of the container is usually the same, but the contents of the container are designed separately as needed. Three sections were planned for this e-house: the first section receives medium voltage electricity, the middle one contains the transformers, and the third distributes low voltage electricity. Additionally, the third section includes a small storage or service space.
Reliable low and medium voltage power for diverse operational needs
For the initial phase of this project, a mobile and robust electrical solution was essential. It needed to power the immediate operations while withstanding the harsh, unpredictable conditions of the environment.
Arnon E-House has since its installation supported the pilot water treatment plant and provided essential electrification for office operations and lighting in the area. The solution is secure, adaptable, and durable, engineered to handle a wide range of operational demands.
– Whether it is distributing power for industrial machinery, running essential facilities, or powering site infrastructure, Arnon E-House provides reliable, efficient electrification under the toughest conditions, Kivistö says.
